Playing Sic Bo
Sic Bo rules
Sic Bo is a Chinese game that is played with three dice.The dealer shakes the dice in a cup and hides them under the cup on the table. The object of the game is to bet on the outcome of the dice. When all bets are made the dealer lifts the cup and reveals the dice.
There are eight different types of bets in Sic Bo:
One of a Kind
A bet that at least one of the dice will show the number you've chosen (for example 5). If one of the dice shows your number you win 1:1, if two of the dice show your number you win 2:1, if all three dice show your number you win 3:1.
Two of a Kind
A bet that two of the dice will show the number you've chosen (for example 4). If they do you win 8:1.
Any Two Numbers
A bet that two of the dice will show a combination of two numbers that are not the same (for example 1/4 or 3/5). If they do you win 5:1.
Three of a Kind
A bet that all three dice will show the number you've chosen (for example 2). If they do you win 150:1.
Any Three of a Kind
A bet that all three dice will show the same number. If they do you win 24:1.
Total Value
A bet that the three dice put together will show a certain value (for example 11).
The payout depends on the value chosen:
4 and 17 pays 50:1.
5 and 16 pays 30:1.
6 and 15 pays 18:1.
7 and 14 pays 12:1
8 and 12 pays 8:1
9 and 11 pays 6:1
Small
A bet that the value of the three dice put together will be 4-10. However, if all three dice show the same number (2/2/2 or 3/3/3) the bet is lost. This bet is paid of 1:1.
Large
A bet that the value of the three dice put together will be 11-17. However, if all three dice show the same number (4/4/4 or 5/5/5) the bet is lost. This bet is paid of 1:1.
Sic Bo Strategy
In total there are over 50 different bets that can be made in Sic Bo, but only two of them are worth while. The house will always have an advantage but if you bet Large or Small it will not be as great.

Small

One of a Kind
house advantage 7.9 %.
Total Value
house advantage 9-47 % depending on the value chosen.
Any Two Numbers
house advantage 16.7 %.
Three of a Kind
house advantage 30 %.
Any Three of a Kind
house advantage 30 %
Two of a Kind
house advantage 37 %.
